Jin Kim is the founder and principal of PerSec Academy and widely recognized as a subject matter expert and material practitioner in Active Shooter and Targeted Mass Violence mitigation. Mr. Kim retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in 2018 and is a twenty-three year veteran of the FBI New York Division. He served as the Active Shooter Coordinator on the Crisis Management Unit and was the leading authority directing active shooter and workplace violence preparedness, resiliency, and training for the FBI's private sector and infrastructure partnerships. 

Bradford Cole is the Executive Director & All-Hazards Psychological Trauma Responder K9 First Responders, Inc. (K9FR) Mr. Cole is K9FR's subject matter expert and thought leader. He has 35 years experience in the security, crisis management and investigatives. A first responder to the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy, Mr. Cole's deployments include Boston Marathon bombings, Las Vegas concert massacre, Marjory Stoneman Douglas school shooting as well as peer support for public safety. He was deployed to Smyrna, DE to assist in the aftermath of the 19 hour prison siege, hostage taking and homicide.

Donna gave the listeners an update on where her fundraising efforts are at this time. She talks about the mission of wanting to build a retreat center dedicated to military, veterans, and first responders. So far she has raised $27,000 with the help of many other local organizations stepping in to assist with her mission. For instance, the Suffield High School Zielinski's  kindness crew involved students to helping raise awareness and fundraiser by selling bracelets for the first 3 months of school. ​

Save the date for Mon, Nov 26th atYALE university public safety for a seminar on emergency response and preparedness. This informative and interactive day together includes topics regarding active shooters, mass notifications, K-9 first responders and covering emotional trauma response and resources. The session concludes with a case study and panel discussion. This event is targeted to law enforcement, public safety, security directors, superintendents/principals and those who are in charge of implementing emergency planning, response, and prevention.

Also on Wed, Nov 28th we will have a dinner social fundraiser with the Hartford Yard Goats at the Dunkin' Donuts park stadium in Hartford CT. All are welcome with RSVP and cover charge.
